A well-presented and researched exposition of superb scholars objects. The earliest stones date from the Han period and the latest from the Qing, all sharing a relation with the stone designated as 'chengni' (literally 'clarified clay'). Some fine designs and all somehow with a patination of use that this material bears particularly well. Text in both Chinese and Japanese.
